Publication Schedule

Journal Software, Hardware and Information Technology (SHIFT) is published twice a year, in January and June. The journal has been published regularly since Volume 1 (2021).

Manuscript processing
Manuscripts are accepted and processed continuously throughout the year. They are not grouped or held until an issue deadline approaches. Accepted manuscripts are scheduled for the next available issue based on their acceptance date and the completion of copyediting and layout.

Numbering and pagination
Volumes and issues are numbered using Arabic numerals. Page numbering starts at 1 for the first article of each new volume and continues through all issues within the same volume. Every published article is assigned a unique Digital Object Identifier (DOI) registered with Crossref.

Publication integrity

• Articles are never inserted into an issue that has already been officially published (back issue).
• The journal does not guarantee acceptance or publication in a specific issue. All manuscripts follow the same peer review and editorial process.
• A Letter of Acceptance (LoA) is issued only after a manuscript has been formally accepted.
