The Journal Software, Hardware, and Information Technology (SHIFT) is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal published by the Department of Information Systems, Faculty of Science and Technology, Universitas Islam Negeri (UIN) Alauddin Makassar, Indonesia. It has been published online since 2021. SHIFT publishes original research findings and high-quality scientific articles that present cutting-edge approaches, including methods, techniques, tools, implementations, and applications. The journal serves as an archival resource for scientists and engineers involved in all aspects of information technology, computer science, computer engineering, information systems, and software engineering.  SHIFT is registered with BRIN with e-ISSN: 2776-8961 and p-ISSN: 2808-3385. Additionally, it is registered with Crossref and assigned the DOI: https://doi.org/10.24252/shift.volumeissue.IDPaper.

SHIFT has been accredited with SINTA 5 in accordance with Decree No. 10/C/C3/DT.05.00/2025 issued by the Director General of Higher Education, Research, and Technology. The accreditation results can be viewed [here].

SHIFT is published twice a year, in January and June. Every manuscript submitted will be reviewed by expert reviewers through a double-blind process. SHIFT is published twice a year, in January and June. All submitted manuscripts undergo a rigorous double-blind peer-review process conducted by expert reviewers. Manuscripts submitted up to Volume 6 may be written in either Bahasa Indonesia or English. To enhance international visibility and broaden the dissemination of research, starting from Volume 7 No. 1 (2027), SHIFT will only accept manuscripts written in English.

SHIFT accepts submissions for "Selected Papers." These papers will be published in the nearest edition. To qualify, the paper must be written in English and have at least one co-author from outside Indonesia. If your paper meets these requirements, please contact our representative to secure a slot in the "Selected Papers" section.
