The Journal of Software, Hardware, and Information Technology (SHIFT), e-ISSN: 2776-8961, p-ISSN: 2808-3385, is an academic journal published biannually, in January and June, by the State Islamic University Alauddin of Makassar and managed by the Department of Information Systems, Faculty of Science and Technology. The journal publishes scholarly articles in fields such as Computer Architecture, Virtual/Augmented Reality, Computer Security, and Software Engineering, including topics such as software lifecycle, management, engineering processes, tools, and methods.

Every manuscript submitted to the Journal of Software, Hardware, and Information Technology (SHIFT) undergoes an independent “peer-review” process by at least two reviewers to ensure the quality of the articles. Decisions regarding publication, revision, or rejection are primarily based on the reviewers’ reports and recommendations. In some cases, the editor may request a third review from an additional reviewer before making a final decision, if deemed necessary.

The Editorial Team retains the authority to make the final decision on the publication status of all submitted manuscripts.
